Peotone Junior High School
is a member of the Kan-Will Conference and the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA).  The Kan-Will Conference consists of the following schools; Beecher, Bradley Central, Grant Park, Herscher Limestone, Manteno, Momence, Peotone, and St. Anne, The IESA is the state organization which we compete in the state tournament series.

Eligibility: When competing in an extra-curricular sport, students are required to maintain grades while in season to remain eligible to practice and play. The IESA sets the requirements for grade eligibility. The policy is all students must be passing all classes to be able to compete and grades will be checked on a weekly basis. Through the school, eligibility is checked each week on Friday. If found to be ineligible, the student athlete will not be able to compete the following Monday though Saturday. During a season, the first offense is the student athlete may practice but not compete in an event/game. The second offense is the student athlete may not practice or compete. The third offense is a removal from the team.

Athletic Physicals: All students competing in a sport are required to have a current/up to date athletic physical to be able to tryout, practice, or play. The physical must be on file in the PJHS office. For all incoming sixth grade students the school physical they must have for school takes the place of the athletic physical.
